This is the part most people do not know. After an accident that was not your fault, you choose who recovers your vehicle and where it goes. You are not obliged to accept whoever your insurer or the other driver’s insurer sends.
It matters, because the vehicle that comes out to you decides what happens next. Use ours and the recovery, the storage, the engineer’s inspection and a replacement vehicle are all arranged together, with the cost recovered from the driver who caused it.
Ring your own insurer first and you have started a claim on your own policy, usually with an excess to pay and a claim on your record, even when none of it was your doing.

We deal with the insurer
We pursue the at fault driver’s insurer for the recovery, the storage and the hire. You do not chase anybody.
If anyone is injured or the vehicle is in a dangerous position, call 999 first. Ring us once everyone is safe. We do not handle personal injury claims and we receive no payment in connection with them.

Common questions
It depends where you are and how busy the network is in that area, but roadside and scene recovery is normally arranged straight away, and often within a couple of hours. If you are in a dangerous position, say so on the call and it is treated as urgent.
On a non-fault claim, nothing. The charges are recovered from the at fault driver’s insurer. If the accident was your fault and you hold a comprehensive policy, recovery and storage are met under your own insurance. If neither applies, we will tell you the charges before anything is arranged. Terms and conditions apply.
No. You are entitled to choose who recovers your vehicle and where it is taken. Using us keeps the recovery, storage, inspection and replacement vehicle together, and the cost is pursued against the driver who caused the accident.
