Find out where you stand in two minutes

Nine questions, the same ones we would ask you on the phone. At the end you will know whether we can help, what we can arrange, and what happens next. No cost and no obligation.

Why we ask all this

These are the questions that decide what we can do for you. Where the vehicle is decides how fast we can recover it. Whether anyone else is already acting for you decides whether we can act at all. Whether anyone was hurt decides whether you need a solicitor rather than us.

Answer them here and the person who calls you back already knows your situation, so the call is about getting your vehicle moved rather than starting from scratch.

Free claim check

Nine questions, about two minutes. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it.

The two answers that matter most

Most of the questions above are practical. Two of them are not, and they are worth explaining.

Whether anyone else is already acting for you. If you have already signed with another accident management company, a claims firm or a solicitor for this accident, they hold the retainer. We will not go behind another company that is already instructed. It is not a refusal, it is a check, and it usually takes one phone call to establish where things actually stand. Plenty of people have signed something at the roadside without realising what it was.

Whether anyone was injured. We do not handle personal injury. If you have been hurt, that is a separate claim and it needs a solicitor acting for you, advising you independently. We can put you in touch with one. We receive no payment of any kind in connection with personal injury claims.

What happens after you send it

The answers go straight to a handler rather than into a general inbox.

We call you back

Usually within the hour during office hours. If your vehicle is blocking a road, call us instead of waiting.

We trace the other insurer

In most cases we can identify the at fault driver’s insurer from the registration, even if they gave you nothing at the scene.

Recovery is arranged

If the vehicle needs moving it is collected and taken to secure storage, at no cost to you on a non-fault claim.

A replacement is arranged

Like for like, matched to what you were driving, usually the same day.

Checks are carried out

Identity, fraud and anti money laundering checks before we act, as we are required to do.

You are told what happens next

In plain English, including what we need from you and roughly how long it will take.

If anyone has been injured, or the vehicle is in a dangerous position, do not fill in a form. Call 0121 516 6441 or, if it is an emergency, call the emergency services first.

What this check does not do

It does not tell you what your claim is worth. Anybody putting a figure on a claim they have not seen is guessing, and a number invented by a web page is worth nothing to you.

It does not decide liability. That comes from the evidence: the photographs, the road layout, any witnesses, and what the engineer finds.

And it is not a decision. It tells you what we can normally arrange in a situation like yours, and gets the right person to ring you. The rest is a conversation.

Would rather just ring?

Most people are quicker on the phone, and if your vehicle is off the road right now that is the better option.

Common questions

No. The claim check is free, and on a non-fault claim the recovery, storage and replacement vehicle are recovered from the at fault driver’s insurer rather than from you. Terms and conditions apply.

No. It gets the right person to call you with an informed view of your situation. Nothing is arranged until you say so, and the terms are explained in plain English before anything happens.

Say so on the form. If you have already signed with somebody they hold the retainer, and we will not act behind a company that is already instructed. Often people have signed something at the roadside without realising what it was, so it is worth one phone call to establish where you actually stand.

Still worth checking. Liability is often split rather than all one way, and a share of your costs may still be recoverable. Our guide on being partly at fault goes through it.

In most cases the insurer can be traced from the registration number alone. If the other driver failed to stop, see our guide on hit and run claims.

Recovery and a replacement vehicle only help while you are actually off the road, so those are urgent. The claim itself has longer, but evidence gets harder to gather as time passes, so do not sit on it.

Not with the injury itself. That needs a solicitor acting for you and advising you independently, and we can put you in touch with one. We receive no payment of any kind in connection with personal injury claims. We can still deal with your vehicle, the recovery and a replacement.

They go to a claims handler so they can call you back informed. They are handled in line with our privacy policy and are never sold or passed on for anybody else’s marketing.

Terms, fraud and anti-money laundering

Terms and conditions apply to all services described on this page. Free recovery, storage and replacement vehicles are provided on the basis that the charges are recovered from the at-fault party’s insurer. We will explain the terms in plain English before anything is arranged.

Before we act for you we are required to verify your identity and to carry out fraud and anti-money laundering checks. This may include checks with credit reference and fraud prevention agencies, which will leave a record on your file.

Where fraud is suspected, information may be shared with fraud prevention agencies, insurers and law enforcement. Providing false or misleading information in support of a claim may mean your claim is refused, and can be a criminal offence.
